Research Interests
Dr. Luptak has practiced social work in rural and urban settings, in public agencies and private non-profit agencies, and in direct practice and management positions, focusing primarily on work with older persons and their families. Dr. Luptak’s scholarly work focuses on mental health issues in older adults, family caregiving, geriatric interdisciplinary team care, and end-of-life care. She also conducts local training workshops related to these issues for social work practitioners and other health care professionals.
