Brain Institute Sponsors Showing at
UMFAWilliam Utermohlen's Later Works is showing
now through January 11, 2009 at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts
(UMFA).
William Utermohlen was diagnosed with Alzheimer's
disease in 1995. In response, he completed a series of
self-portraits that are emotional and thought-provoking.
Utermohlen's Later Works provide us with a unique opportunity to see
Alzheimer's from the inside out--from the perspective of a talented
artist struggling to come to terms with his own dementia.
For
more information, call the museum at (801) 581-7332 or visit them
online at http://umfa.utah.edu/utermohlen.
